Writesonic vs Jasper: marketing copy when you're pre-revenue.
verdict
Writesonic for almost every solo dev — the entry price is impulse-buy territory and the output covers landing pages, product descriptions, and blog drafts fine. Jasper only if you're producing serious content volume or writing for clients; it's built (and priced) for marketing teams.
Both tools do the same job on paper: turn a brief into marketing copy. The difference is who they think is sitting at the keyboard. Jasper assumes a marketing team with a content calendar. Writesonic assumes it might just be you, at midnight, trying to make your landing page not sound like a README.

The test that matters
I gave both the same brief: a landing-page hero for a developer tool. Jasper's read more polished out of the gate; Writesonic's needed one editing pass. But an editing pass is free, and the price gap between them isn't. Until content is your revenue engine rather than a chore, the cheaper tool that gets you 90% there is the right tool.
